Terms of Service
Last updated August 3, 2026
1. Who we are
Next Grade Ready (“the Service”) is an independent online learning program operated by Erin O'Neill, doing business as Next Grade Ready, a sole proprietor based in British Columbia, Canada. By creating an account or continuing to use the Service you agree to these terms, and your contract for the Service is with Erin O'Neill, doing business as Next Grade Ready. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or accredited by any ministry of education, state department of education, school board, or school district.
2. Accounts
You must be an adult parent or guardian to create an account. One account represents one family and covers one learner. You are responsible for keeping your password and your Parent Zone PIN confidential and for all activity under your account.
3. Free preview and billing
A card is required at signup. The first week is a free preview. If you do not cancel before the preview ends, your card is charged $9.95 once, plus applicable taxes, for 12 months of access. You can request a full refund within 14 days of your initial signup.
- A valid payment method is required to start the free preview.
- The free preview lasts 7 days from signup.
- If you have not cancelled before the preview ends, you are charged CA$9.95 (shown in CAD; USD and other supported currencies are converted at checkout) one time, plus applicable taxes.
- That charge grants access for 12 months from the date of the charge. Access does not roll over into a following year; continuing after that term requires a new purchase.
- Returning families may be offered a reduced renewal price. Any such discount is offered at our discretion and is not guaranteed.
- Prices are shown in Canadian dollars, or in US dollars for customers in the United States. Prices are shown before tax. Sales tax (GST/HST/PST, state sales tax, or VAT) is calculated at checkout based on your billing address and collected and remitted by our payment provider, Paddle, as merchant of record. The exact total is shown before you confirm payment.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling during the free preview stops the upcoming charge and ends access at the end of the preview. Cancelling after the charge stops any future billing and keeps your access until the end of the paid 12 months term.
5. Refunds
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee: you can request a full refund within 14 days of your initial signup. Refunds are processed by our payment provider, Paddle. To request one, visit paddle.net or email us at admin@nextgradeready.com and we will review it.
6. Payments and merchant of record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are also governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
7. Educational content
Lesson content is based on general Grade 6 learning expectations commonly used across Canada and the United States. It is a supplement, not a substitute for schooling, and we make no guarantee of any particular academic outcome.
8. Third-party links and videos
Some lessons and reference sections link out to websites and videos we do not own, operate, or control — including YouTube videos and government curriculum pages. Those links are provided for convenience and reference only. We do not endorse, review, or guarantee third-party content, it may change or disappear without notice, and it is governed by that site's own terms and privacy policy. Every core lesson (notes and practice questions) is written by us and works without following any external link. We recommend a parent supervise younger learners on third-party video sites, where ads and recommendations are outside our control. We are not liable for third-party content or for anything you access through it.
9. Acceptable use
You may use the Service for your own family's personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, scrape, or republish the content, share your account with other families, or attempt to interfere with the Service or access other families' data.
10. Intellectual property
All lesson text, question banks, layouts, and branding are owned by the operator of the Service. Printed or downloaded materials are licensed for your family's personal use only.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. You may delete your account at any time; deleting your account ends access immediately and does not trigger a refund.
12. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes to billing will be communicated by email before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law rules.
